Introducing....ME!

I am realizing that I have started this blog without first introducing myself. Hi, I am your MC Elixir but my mother named me Gregory. I do not mind that people know my government name but its important for my brand that in conversation you address me as ELIXIR. The reason for this is that no one is interested in having Gregory do a show or hearing Gregory rap or have Gregory host their event. So please, for my rent's $ake address me as MC Elixir or LIX in conversation. Pretty please!!

Okay, so where was I! Yes, I am a performing artist and personality. What that basically means is that can run the gamut in regards to rapping, holding a note (not exactly singing) and acting. Also its been said that I have an easy going demeanor, quick witted, sort of humorous and charming; that's the personality part. Most people have come to know me for being the guy in the club that takes the party to an extra level with my impromptu sing song chants and other antics. However; it really all began for me as a singer/songwriter & hip-hop artist. I have tons and tons of music and because of legal obligations and loyalty to past partners I have kind of kept all of the music on the shelf but no worries I'm posting it now!! Somehow winning rap battles turned into hosting rap battles which turned into performing shows which then turned into hosting performance which ultimately turned into hosting parties. I have worked with and shared the stage with so many people that naming names would be futile. Never mind, Ill name drop a little. Ha ha. But seriously Ive worked with anyone from Diddy to Diplo.

In this blog of course Im going to discuss a little entertainment but I'll mainly be discussing life. This will be more like social commentary. I feel as though we are all living the same lives so whats the point of keeping the pleasures and pains to myself when it could help someone else or even myself to have this to read.

If you're looking strictly for the 'hood perspective you are in the wrong place. Although, I am a Negro (yes, I said Negro) based in Philadelphia I have a well rounded up bringing. I am a military brat like the real kind. The kind that spent my first ten years of life living in different states and countries. I am just now coming to realize how integral that was to my development as a person. It basically means that regarding things like music, culture and overall beliefs that I have different influences. So keep that in mind when you read through this blog or interviews or even when you listen to my music or see who comprises my audience.
