Yes, I understand Kanye West!

Matt Lauer interviews Kanye

Kanye is simply misunderstood. He is in an awkward position because of his celebrity. He wishes to speak for a community on a world stage. However; the world does not respect nor attend to the opinion of the community Kanye represents.

When you have the audience that Kanye has acquired you have to speak politically correct which means to speak in general terms. His comments are not filled with the assimilation necessary for National television however his appeal put him in that position.

What Im typing may seem a little radical but as an example Wyclef, Ludacris & Jay Z have the same world stage but opt not to speak in that manner because they know of the impact it will have on their career. On the other hand Nas who chooses to speak for/side with the community is not welcomed on the world stage simply because of his perspective. Im not a conspiracy theorist but there are greater powers at play here.

I can go on but I digress!

I totally agree with this statement. It's funny in and clear that most people do not even bother to really listen to his music. He is even more vivid in his lyrics. I believe a lot of people looked at his lyrics as just being fun, but Kanye actually live, sleep, and eat his words. That is why I respect him as a person and artist. He is unapologetic, kind of remind me of the Miles Davis of rap music. Miles was known to give his thoughts that seemed crass; however, his music always represented his thoughts. Since a lot of the mainstream artist live a facade and rap about lifestyles that might not really represent them, the masses can not distinguish what rapper is honest and just rapping for the hell of it. Very similar to Tupac, which interesting enough they both are Gemini men. A revolutionary Artist is always unapologetic about his or her craft. Kanye should be able to express his feelings and give explanations in the manner that he deems fit for his comfortability, not the assimilated masses or elite overseers. As he profoundly said the other day, "I gained everything when I lost fear." To live fearless is a beautiful thing, which most can not do. And until people look inside themselves and see that they have power within, they will always criticize the ones that are FREE.

Zahrah, I love you.

Although we can debate his judgement I question anyone who doubts his motivation.
